PRONTO Featured in Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Video

Check out this video produced by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) highlighting CARE and PRONTO’s work in Bihar. The video describes the mobile nurse mentoring program in which teams of Nurse Midwife Mentors (NMM) visit Primary Health Centers (PHCs) one week each month for a period of six to eight months to improve the quality of maternal and neonatal care offered by Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) at these facilities. PRONTO’s highly-realistic, in-situ simulation and team training are an integral part of this intervention.

The video takes you inside a PHC in rural Bihar where you will see mentors teaching ANMs how to effectively manage maternal and neonatal emergencies using PRONTO’s unique methodology.  Watch as the mentors use PartoPants™, PRONTO’s low-cost simulator worn by a patient actress, to teach ANMs evidence based practices they need to practice during and directly after the birth of a baby.  PRONTO is proud to be a part of a program that is making improvements in the health outcomes of mothers and babies in Bihar.
